Due to the current mobile money issues the network is experiencing, a student from TTU in University Hall received GH 888,867.00 from AirtelTigo.
The student had already taken GHC 1,000 from the account when he contacted home and was instructed not to handle money.
He first wired GH 1,000 to a friend named Asare and then made a withdrawal to ensure the transaction was secure and there was no fraud. His account has since been blocked as a result.
Another lady also received GHC 874,055.00 from AirtelTigo
Several users have since complained about their inability to use the platform.
