President Akufo-Addo Sacks Adwoa Safo As The Gender Minister

Over the days, Majority on the Privileges Committee has been pushing for the seat of Dome Kwabenya MP, Sarah Adwoa Safo to be declared vacant.

According to them, she had not provided substantial explanation as to why she should not lose her seat and had failed to take opportunities that were offered her to do so.

MP for Dome Kwabenya, Sarah Adwoa Safo, has been absent from her post for 9 months, catering to her sick child overseas. In a recent post on Facebook, she posted pictures of herself and met a barrage of angry Ghanaians demanding for her immediate sack.

They also raised concerns as to why a minister should be absent from post for as long as she has.

Today, President Akufo-Addo, in accordance with article 81(a) of the Constitution, has officially revoked the appointment of Hon. Sarah Adwoa Safo as Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection.
