
Ghana has recorded its first case of Ebola. According to a report by the Ghana News Agency, the first case has been determined in the Northern Region.
At this point, the country’s Public Health Emergency Response Team has been sent out to the region to control the situation.
This was revealed to the Ghana News Agency in Tamale by Mr. Fuseini Mahama, Northern Regional Disease Control Officer.
According to the World Health Organization, case mortality rates for previous epidemics of the deadly Ebola virus ranged from 25% to 90% in humans and other primates (WHO).
There is now an effective treatment option to fight Ebola however affected persons should seek early treatment.
