Dag Heward-Mills’ Son Passes Away

Dr. David Heward-Mills, first son of Bishop Dag Heward-Mills, has passed away at the age of 31 in the USA yesterday APril 15, 2022.

The 31-year old of the founder of Light House Chapel International was a medical doctor working and living in the States.

In the United States of America, David Heward-Mills served as a resident physician at Prisma Health in Columbia, South Carolina.
He worked as a medical doctor for Piedmont Healthcare in Athens, Georgia, from July 2019 to June 2020.
For the past five years, he has worked as a part-time lead director for the National Alliance for Mental Health and Substance Abuse Recovery.
Prior to that, from 2008 to 2014, he earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Ukraine’s National Pirogov Memorial Medical University in Vinnytsya. [Vinnic’kij Derzavnij Medicnij Universitet im M.I.Vinnic’kij Derzavnij Medicnij Universitet im M.I.Vinnic’kij .Pirogova]

The church announced in a message to members:

“It is with deep regret and great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing away of David Heward-Mills, after a short illness. David was the first son of our Founder and Presiding Bishop and Episcopal Sister Adelaide Heward -Mills .

David was a Medical Doctor working and living in the US. He was 31 years old.

We, also as a church, are heartbroken, however we stand with our leader and his family and believe that God will comfort and see us through this very difficult season.

Please respect their privacy during this difficult time. Funeral arrangements will be communicated in due course.

We kindly ask that you bear them up in prayer.”
