The worst thing in the world is needing to do something urgently, and then having to wait for your computer to catch up. It can be frustrating. Luckily, there are some very simple things that you can do in order to make your computer run faster. So, here’s a list of them. There are some user habits that will allow your computer to be more responsive, and there’s also some slightly technical stuff that you can do.
1. Mono-tasking

For people who like to get multiple things done at a time, this might be a little hard to hear. You need to stop doing so many things at a time! Running different programs, or issuing commands when your PC is still processing commands that you’ve issued will slow your computer down. Just focus on one thing at a time, and you’ll notice improvements in your computer’s performance.
2. Restart Your Computer!

A lot of us have the bad habit of just putting our computers to sleep when we’re done using them. Although the sleep mode is useful when you have work that you want to get back to, it’s not always the best option. Not turning your computer off for long periods at a time means that the background processes running will accumulate and slow down your overall performance. A restart, or a complete shutdown is good every once in a while.
3. Too Many Open Browser Tabs Can Cause Crashes

Google Chrome is notorious for causing computers to crash when too many tabs are open. However, no matter the browser that you’re using, you’ll experience lags in performance if you open too many tabs at a time. At times, the browser will stop responding entirely and you’ll have to restart it. It’s simpler just to minimize the amount of tabs that you have open.
