On the 4th of February 2022, YN the Afropikin announced the release of his new EP, The Oracle which will be available on March 4th 2022. This new project is released by AFROPIKIN MUSIC and distributed worldwide by Distrokid. The Oracle has seven songs that were recorded between 2020 and 2021 at PNF recording studio. These 7 songs are organic African music.
YN The Afropikin: An Introduction To The Personality Behind The Sound
Born Olah Precious Odame to a Nigerian father and Ghanaian mother, YN the Afropikin decided to pursue his musical career professionally in 2017, a year after acquiring his first degree in Physiotherapy. Afropikin was born and raised in Lagos and later moved to Ghana to continue his Junior high school to university education. His music Afro-fusion is heavily influenced by Afrobeat legend Fela Kuti, 2Face and KK Fosu. Afropikin’s music is full of West African highlife and Afrobeats melodies singing mostly in pidgin language. YN the Afropikin’s musical style finds a balance between Afrobeats, Highlife and Palm wine music with varying themes of love, reality and fun filled sounds. He released his debut project ‘AFROPIKIN EP’ on August 2019 as an introduction, to his sound and direction.
The Oracle: Anticipate An Organic Sound Experience
This project signifies growth in Afropikin’s musical journey. YN embodies the role as the mouthpiece of afrobeats in his generation. The Oracle is Afropikin’s third project following his debut Afropikin EP in 2019 and Soft Sounds EP in 2020. The project is a 7-track EP featuring artists like ToluDaDi, David Acekeyz, and Josh Dre. Songs on the tape were produced by Babawd, Ipappi, and David Acekeyz. The project already has a buzzing single “All Correct” featuring ToluDaDi and having mass appeal from fans.
The Oracle will be available for pre-order on 2nd March 2022 and will be released on 3rd March 2022.
