Why We Enjoy Movies During Christmas

Christmas movies are so often linked to classic themes of redemption and rediscovery of innocence.

Old favorites such as Home Alone, Love Actually, The Wizard of Oz, It’s A Wonderful Life, Miracle on 34th Street, The Holiday and Elf reappear on our screens in a festive ritual as predictable as the turkey dinner itself.

So, what is it about these films that endure, and why do we feel drawn to watch again and again? These movies really made it possible for some of us to catch the Christmas vibes. Especially Home Alone eeish which is mostly shown on our favorite TV station……………, they always keep the disks clean for every year.

This movie actually brings up the memories from childhood to date. I know when you first watched it what actually came to mind was that the experience is real? We all actually thought of that though, so it’s not only you.

The trick, the toes it all felt real I bet you. The movies really helped us a lot. We are drawn to these films because they contain enduring truths that continue to resonate with our own lives.

So instead of complaining that there’s nothing decent on TV this Christmas, sit back and allow yourself to be transported in time and place. It’s a kind of magic in itself.

Merry Christmas and some more home alone.
