The only time Ghanaians invest heavily in decorations is during events like weddings, funerals and parties. Very few people spend time decorating their homes during the Christmas festivities mostly because it’s expensive to buy decorations when it’s just for your amusement. However, there are cheaper alternatives to Christmas decorations using basic items like paper, glue, solution tape, cardboard, scissors and fairy lights, while having fun making them. Here are 5 easy and budget friendly decorations.

For this, you’d need either paper sheets and/or coloured cardboards of your choosing, a pair of scissors and solution tape or glue. You simply cut and roll the paper/cardboard, tape the ends to form a circle and loop one over the other till your desired length is achieved.

You would need a paper plate, coloured cardboard or paper sheet of your choosing and glue/tape. You can cut a hole in the paper plate, fold the the paper/cardboard into your desired shape and tape both sides of it together on the paper plate till you have covered every part of the paper plate.

The only tools needed here are a staple gun/stapler and paper sheets/cardboards. The shapes can be held together with the stapler and stapled altogether to achieve the above angel-look.

You would need a coloured cardboard or paper sheet of your choosing and scissors. You can make as many as you want and tie them on a string to hang as desired.
