How The University Of Ghana Remembered Its Community Members Who Passed Away This Academic Year

Prof. Nana Aba Appiah Amfo

Every now then life happens and were are reminded off the short time we have here and the need to enjoy and appreciate people while they are here and walking amongst us.

That is the exact sentiment the newly minted Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ghana, Prof Nana Aba Appiah Amfo echoed when she joined other members of the University of Ghana community to commemorate the lives of those of the community who passed away during the 2020/2021 academic year.

The service, which was held at the university’s Great Hall, brought together students and faculty as they remembered those they once called colleagues.

This year alone, a number of members of the university community have lost their lives including the former Vice-Chancellor, Emeritus Professor George Benneh, and Daniel Anane Wadie a final year student.

May their souls continue to rest in peace.
