Though it doesn’t seem like it, we are still fighting the COVID-19 pandemic that forced us indoors for weeks last year.
For a lot of people precautionary measures such as washing hands frequently, using hand sanitisers, wearing face masks and ensuring social distance have been thrown to the wind.
One reason why a lot of people have let their guard down is because of the COVID-19 vaccines that have been made available.
Previous vaccination exercise has not vaccinated all Ghanaians, as a result, the government is still running its national inoculation exercise with the goal of vaccinating about 30 million Ghanaians.
To this end, the Greater Accra Regional Health Directorate has announced that it will be undertaking a first dose vaccination exercise of the Moderna vaccine in various health facilities and key areas located n all the 29 Metropolitan, municipal and districts in the region.
People 18 years and above are eligible to take the vaccine, pregnant women are, however, excluded.
See below for the full details of the locations where the vaccination exercise is set to take place from November 5 to November 10.
The Moderna vaccine is administered in a two-dose schedule. The second dose will be administered at a minimum interval of 4 weeks.
