There are a lot of different heart-tugging romantic movies on Netflix and if you’re feeling the urge to watch one, you are going to be spoilt for choice. There are romantic comedies, weepy dramas, coming-of-age teen movies, classics and everything in-between. If you’re in the mood to spice up your date night/day with your boo, these are some of the movies you should definitely look for on Netflix.

1. To all the boys I’ve loved before

The story is based on the novel of the same name, following a high school student who has a penchant for writing letters to her crushes that she never sends. At a point, her world turned upside down when her little sister finds her stash of letters and delivers them to each of the crushes she’s had—including her sister’s longtime boyfriend. In order to avoid dealing with this particular crush, she starts pretending to date a schoolmate who wants to make his ex jealous.

2. The Kissing Booth

This is about a high schooler torn between loyalty to her best friend — and a romantic yearning for his brother. Netflix claimed this was the service’s most re-watched movie of 2018.

3. Resort to love

“Resort to Love” finds its heroine Erica at a rough time in her life. Erica’s best friend intervenes to break her out of her funk after back-to-back personal and professional setbacks and finds her a gig as a singer for a lush Caribbean resort. Still working through her feelings, Erica runs into the man she least wanted to meet: her ex, Jason, and his new bride-to-be. Of course, the encounter brings up leftover feelings for both Erica and Jason, but things get complicated when Jason’s dashing brother Caleb also shows an interest in Erica and Jason’s fiancé insists on including Erica in her wedding party without knowing her history with Jason.

4. He’s all that

An influencer specializing in makeovers bets she can transform an unpopular classmate into prom king in this remake of the teen classic “She’s All That.”

5. Falling Inn Love

When city girl Gabriela spontaneously enters a contest and wins a rustic New Zealand inn, she teams up with bighearted contractor Jake Taylor to fix and flip it. Expect tons of romantic tension and a journey of self-discovery for Gabriela.

6. P.S I love you

In the film, Swank and Butler play a married couple who suffer a significant loss (he dies). Following this, she receives a series of gifts and messages from him (arranged before his death), all ending with the words, “P.S. I Love You”.

7. Friendzone

Friendzone tells the story of a man named Thibault who often has bad luck when it comes to romance as he tends to not let women know how he truly feels about them, thus, leaving him in the dreaded friend zone. To avoid the same fate once more, his friends push him to become the best version of himself; confident, outspoken, and a man with the ability to make any woman swoon. But this mission may be a bit harder than anyone thought it’d be as his transformation brings unexpected problems with the woman of his dreams.

8. Isn’t it romantic

After a head injury, architect Natalie (who despises romantic comedies) wakes up to find herself in a world filled with romantic comedy tropes. This includes a handsome billionaire suddenly developing an intense interest in her, a pop-song soundtrack, and a PG-13 swearing filter. The only way to leave this strangely perfect yet infuriating world involves Natalie finding genuine love.
