The long vacation is here and we know that some of you will be getting aboard the big bird and go have some fun.

Just in case you have visiting the UK as part of your plans, you need to know that they have updated their COVID-19 related travel regulations especially if you are due to travel on or after October 4, which is just days away.

The new COVID-19 travel regulation pertains to vaccines. According to the UK government’s official website, they will not recognise vaccination documents from Africa and other parts of the world.

This affects people who got vaccinated in Ghana.

According to the rules, you will be deemed unvaccinated and you will be required to undergo the mandatory quarantine and tests as required from unvaccinated travellers who want to enter the UK.

Until this rule changes in the coming days before October 4, please note that your trip to the UK will not be as smooth as you hoped, even if you have been fully vaccinated in Ghana with vaccines approved by the World Health Organization to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.
