#NVDay21: 5 Acts Of Kindness You Could Do To Mark Kwame Nkrumah’s Birthday

September 21 is a public holiday. It is a day to celebrate the birth of Kwame Nkrumah, the first President of the Republic of Ghana and an independence fighter.

This is going to be a Tuesday holiday and it means that you can’t go all out and party through the day only to get up Wednesday and go back to school or work. Even if you can, we have a few alternative suggestions for how you can spend your day tomorrow and add to the memory of the man Kwame Nkrumah.

For years now, our friends at the GhanaThink Foundation have been holding what they call the National Volunteer Day on September 21.

According to them, they want to encourage volunteerism in Ghana, and to market and make volunteer activities attractive and that volunteerism is the heart of community development.

When you volunteer, you are not only helping build your community or country, you are also building networks of friends.

For this year’s National Volunteer Day, we have found 5 activities you absolutely participate in to make a difference in someone’s life.
