Five years ago today, M.anifest gave his fans a treat. The conversation ahead of it was dope and even after it was available, it was dope.
He released his third studio album, ‘Nowhere Cool’ and his fans ate it up. The title of the album was borrowed from a piece by Ghanaian author, poet and academic Ama Ata Aidoo.
The book, which was first published by the University of Cape Coast in 1974, has been one of the most acclaimed short stories from the Ghanaian author.
For the album, however, M.anifest recruited Cina Soul and the author herself to help create the title record of the album.
Other records on the album saw features from Brymo, Worlasi, Paapa, Dex Kwasi and other young talents Drvmroll, Yung Fly.
Yesterday, M.anifest has put ‘Madina To The World’ on hold and he is celebrating his old album. He has even encouraged his fans to share any of the songs on the album that is currently their favourite.
Before the 14-song album ‘Nowhere Cool’ was released the rough and sexy track, ‘Sugar’, was the first single released off the album.
To celebrate the 5th year anniversary of the album, M.anifest said ‘Now Here Cool’ is currently his fave song on the album.
His fans are also paying tribute to the album with their social media posts.
- Let’s wake them up!
