Priscilla Asantewaa Ayeh and Henry Nii Adjiri Quarcoopome, presidential aspirants for the upcoming University of Ghana SRC elections, collaborated with Empomart Ghana to make donations to the Rising Star Orphanage.
They donated 30 bags of rice, 20 bags of water, 10 packs of toilet rolls, toiletries, 2 boxes of spaghetti, boxes of tomato paste, packs of sweeteners, as well as some books – notable amongst them is the book authored by Bola Ray book: It is Possible.
The Rising Star Orphanage provides not only a home but increase opportunities for orphans and vulnerable children to access education, improve their physical, cognitive, psychosocial care and development.
Speaking on the donations, Priscilla Ayeh told Kuulpeeps that: “donating to the causes you care about not only benefits the charities themselves, but it can also be deeply rewarding for you too. Millions of people give to charity on a regular basis to support causes they believe in, as well as for the positive effect it has on their own lives.”
“As the Scripture says in Hebrews 13:16, “Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God”. This reminds us that God is happy when we share what we have to help others and giving to others is giving to God and that generosity is always favoured. It is always important to give because making others happy is a type of wealth that surpasses financial riches. Finally, giving reminds us of how good it makes one feel to give selflessly to help those in need,” she added.
