The University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG) is still embarking on strike, there’s palpable tension on various campuses in the country.

In this time, the concerns of students have not really been taken into account especially when academic activities are now in limbo.

Kuulpeeps UEW had a little interaction with some of the students to see how they feel about the strike and their response is going to blow your minds.

Pamela – Level 200: Ever since I came to Winneba every second semester has had a misfortune, level 100 second semester was COVID-19 outbreak and level 200 is also UTAG strike; I feel there’s some kind of bad omen following their year batch.

Florence – Level 100: The strike has helped me in a way since I was not really prepared for the end of semester exam.

Adjoa – Level 100: I’m very happy with the strike at least I get to rest, unlike the normal school days where I’m stressed with the assignment and all that.

Abraham – Level 400: I’m not too happy with the strike I feel it’s altering our academic calendar which will affect our graduation date. The level 400s are not very happy, because they can’t graduate on time. They should have finished their exam 25th August, now that is not possible.

However, it appears, many students in UEW are happy that class activities have been put on hold because they were stressed this semester as it was a little longer than the normal semesters.
