Edmund Owusu, a final year Software Engineering student at OpenLabs (formerly NIIT Ghana), has personified the quote “nothing is impossible when you put your mind, heart, soul and sweat into it.”

As a person living with cerebral palsy (a congenital disorder of movement, muscle tone or posture), he did not allow his condition to prevent him from achieving his dreams.

Edmund has overcome the challenges of living with cerebral palsy and is making a lot of progress in his academics.

OpenLabs, in a post on Facebook, revealed that Edmund has developed a payment application called Virtual Pay.

The app allows the transfer of money from one’s bank account to the mobile money account and vice versa.

Edmund Owusu, however, hopes to become a renowned Software Developer in the near future.

Another Ghanaian who has also overcome cerebral palsy and has made an impact in the tech space is Farida Nana Efua Bedwei.

She has built mobile and enterprise applications, and is also known for her knowledge of software architecture, and deploying mobile services, particularly for banking applications.
