Very soon, new Premier and Champions League seasons will be here and Ghanaian football fans will be savouring every moment of it.
It’s gotten particularly interesting now that Messi has a new home and Chelsea will be hoping to defend its title.
Last night, we got a glimpse of how the upcoming season would look like.
As winners of last season’s UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League Chelsea and Villareal FC faced off for the UEFA Super Cup.
After a gruelling match and a penalty shoot-out, Chelsea won the game 6-5 on penalties.
With that major win for Chelsea, it also meant that one of its players Callum Hudson-Odoi has achieved a record in UEFA history.
At 20 years old, Hudson-Odoi became the youngest player to win all three UEFA club football trophies.
He has won the Europa Cup, the Champions League and now the Super Cup, all before he turns 21 on November 7, this year.
It is an amazing thing to achieve as a 20-year-old, especially when you add the fact that he has also already won the Premier League and he was on the team that won England’s it’s first FIFA Under 17 World Cup in 2017.
Achieving all these things is amazing and his fans will not it go unnoticed.
Though Hudson-Odoi did have a good game against Villareal last night, he was undoubtedly the biggest winner of the night.
UEFA trophy treble at 20 is just something else. Hopefully, he chooses the Black Stars over the Three Lions… fingers crossed.
