
Omari Nathan Forson, on August 7, 2021, signed his first professional contract with Manchester United, thereby committing his future to the Premier League giants.
The 17-year-old, who was very excited about the deal, announced it on Twitter saying: “Happy to sign my first professional contract with Man Utd. A big thank you to all that have supported and guided me along the journey.”

Born to Ghanaian parents in the UK, the promising youngster is hoping to get the opportunity to establish himself as a regular in the under-23s, and then get the chance to train with and play for the first team if he succeeds.

1. He joined Manchester United on June 30, 2020
Prior to joining Manchester United, he spent the early part of his youth career in London with West Ham United and Tottenham.

2. He’s recorded 14 goals/assists so far
Omari Forson has played 27 games so far in his youth career and has scored 6 goals and provided 8 assists. Last season was his best as he scored five goals in 13 appearances for the Manchester United under-18s, providing a further five assists last season.

3. He plays as an attacking midfielder
Omari Forson’s main position on the field is attacking midfield. He can also play as a right-winger and a left-winger.

4. He’s already played with Manchester United’s brightest prospects
Omari Forson’s biggest impact was felt when he stepped up the under-23s at the bench of the season and stole the show in a win over Derby.
Forson linked up with the likes of Shola Shoretire, Anthony Elanga, and Hannibal and embraced the jump up in quality. Not only that, but he was the best player on the pitch.
He scored once and provided two assists in a 6-2 win.

5. Arsenal nearly signed him
Arsenal made an attempt to lure Forson away from Old Trafford last year, but the Gunners were unsuccessful.
