Accra is a melting pot of people from various backgrounds.

Of course, it is the home of the people who identify with members of the Ga ethnic group, however, as the capital city of Ghana, it is now home to Ghanaians and non Ghanaians from all walks of life.

As the richest city in the country, it also attracts a lot of people who are seeking a better life for themselves and their families.

This adds to the beauty of the city and enriches the unique culture of Accra.

It shows in the food on sale in the streets of Accra, it’s reflected in the music you would hear blurring from speakers and even the fashion of the cosmopolitan dwellers.

However, just as any big and diverse city, Accra has both the positives and negatives of megacities.

This means that people living in Accra do get certain unique life experiences you would have if you live in a town or a satellite community.

Here, crime takes form in different shapes and sizes. Things you never thought you would ever witness become daily occurrences.

When you live in a city such as Accra, there are certain things that you become accustomed to… queuing to buy food, use public transport, enduring long hours of vehicular traffic and the list goes on.

However, even with that, there are certain things that occur that send shockwaves down your spine and leaving you wondering ‘what the hell just happened?’

Just like us, @mooserman on Twitter was also curious to know the wildest experiences people have had while in Accra.

It didn’t take long after his tweet went up that people with stories to tell but have never said on the bird app started opening the floodgates.

The stories they shared covered everything from murder, police officers soliciting sex, almost dying at a recreational facility and a lot more.

Living in Accra is a whole vibe on its own.
