Being an entrepreneur requires a lot of hard work and sacrifice. However, Fafa Ama Quist — a second-year Psychology and Information Studies student at the University of Ghana — seems to have it all figured out already.
According to Fafa, she loves and enjoys doing business. “it [business] is part of me… I couldn’t do anything better than doing business.”
She also runs a laundry service called Laundry With Fabs.
Fafa indicated that she is able to do well in her academics and also manage her businesses very well because the programme she is undertaking at the University of Ghana gives her the flexibility she needs.
“I’m a weekend (Distance) student so I get enough time during the week to manage my business,” she said.
As someone who is enjoying the benefits of running a business while in school, Fafa thinks it is important for students who want to be entrepreneurs to start their businesses while at the university.
“It’s very necessary to have your own business. It helps you to understand management before even leaving the walls of the university.”
“Every little step counts,” she added.
Already achieving success in her businesses, Fafa plans that after graduating from the University of Ghana, she will be able to make more investments to enable her business brand grow and become well established.
“The plan is to make it grow and become known,” she said.
