In light of all the Our Day talk all over our timelines, we decided to take a trip down memory lane by asking 7 university students what their best Our Day experiences as kids were. Here are some responses that are going to hit you with a big dose of nostalgia.
The funny thing is that my best Our Day was actually my last one. It was the first term of JHS 3. It was that Our Day that the boy I had been crushing on finally told me that he liked me. It was so romantic. Well, as romantic as I had experienced at that age.
So in my school, it wasn’t Our Day if we didn’t play a gala; which is just winner stay football. That day I don’t know what happened but I was on heat. I was playing better than everybody and my team ended up with a 9 game win streak. 9! I don’t think I’ll ever forget it.
I was about 10 or 11 years old when I had my best Our Day. It actually started out really bad. My parents were busy and so they got a taxi to take me to school that day, and I ended up leaving my Our Day bag in the taxi. I was so bummed, but in the end my friends ended up sharing their stuff with me. They turned my day around.
I don’t really remember too many Our Days from back then, but I remember that the first time that I ate Papaye was on Our Day. I’d tasted it before, but that was the first time that I got a whole pack to myself. I was so happy haha.
So in my school Our Day wasn’t just a celebration the entire day. We had to stay in class till like 12 o’clock. That was usually the boring part, but this particular Our Day, one of my friends brought some cards and we used some allo magic tricks to get claim fans. It was just really fun and we got a lot of attention.
I don’t don’t remember a specific Our Day that was the best, but for me the food was always the best part. Just sitting around with my friends and exchanging the different things that we brought.
Oh I definitely remember my best Our Day. Our school was close to Osu, and a group of us left school (even though we weren’t supposed to) and went to Oxford Street to go and get some ice cream. I loved those people! Such good times.
