Bermuda shorts were named because of their popularity in Bermuda, a British Overseas Territory, where they are considered appropriate business attire for men when made of suit-like material and worn with knee-length socks, a dress shirt, tie, and blazer.
Bermuda shorts are long shorts (think biker shorts but with different fabric). They’re quite tricky to style because of the way they’re cut off around your legs but when you finally get a hang of styling them, they’ll look fire on you.
First things first, you need to know what type you’re buying; whether the fitted or non-fitted one.

Types of tops you can wear
1. Oversized T-shirts

These shirts pair better with the fitted Bermuda shorts. You can tie the shirt in front, back or side or just do side tucks. Pair the look with a sling bag and sneakers or a handbag/purse with heels.
2. Bodysuits/fitted tops

If you have an hourglass shape, this is perfect for you. Bodysuits pair better with non-fitted shorts. You can style it up with heels or style it down with sneakers, sandals or slippers, depending on the occasion.
3. Button-down shirts

Structured shirts like these give a really clean look. Get the non-fitted shorts and a crisp white button down shirt. Tuck one half of the shirt and leave the other half or tie the front of the shirt. Pair the look with mules and you’re good to go.
4. Girly tops

When we say “girly tops” we are referring to tops with ruffles, pleats, or a tops with fuller sleeves. These work best with the non-fitted shorts and cute look can be completed with sandals/slippers.
5. Blazers

Blazers can elevate your look to a semi-formal one without doing the most. Just get a blazer and some sunglasses. Wear a top under the blazer and wear mules.

You can also just wear the blazer over the shorts like in the picture above.
