Face of Legon 2021: 13 Contestants Progress To The Final After 9 Were Evicted

Face of Legon

Nine ladies have been evicted from the ongoing 2021 Face of Legon; the recent being Sernam, Mercy, and Jacinta.

The beauty pageant which started with 22 ladies competing for the crown, has seen the numbers drop each week after a task.

Only 13 contestants remain to compete for the crown, GHC10,000 cash prize and a trip to Dubai.

In the first week, the ladies took an educational tour to the Ghana Export Promotion Agency (GEPA); where they engaged with the Chief Executive Officer of GEPA, Afua Asabea Asare.

Two of the contestants with low votes were evicted.

After this tour, the ladies had the task of presenting their project. The presentation focused on what the ladies seek to achieve with the Face of Legon platform.

Serman, Mercy and Jacinta were evicted on the night of the Talent Night event

Four ladies were evicted after this task. The judges disclosed that evictions are based on the votes of the contestants after every week and not necessarily on their performance.

On Friday, 9th July 2021, the talent hunt episode of the competition was held at Campus Hub adjacent to the Commonwealth Hall at the University of Ghana

The remaining sixteen ladies exhibited their talents before a three-member panel.

At the end of the night, three more ladies were evicted.

Sernam, Mercy, and Jacinta were evicted; bringing the total number of ladies left in the competition to thirteen (13).

Face of Legon is a pageant which is organized by the University of Ghana SRC to crown a lady as the Face of the University based on her peculiar skills, confidence, hard work, and passion to solve a problem in society.

The competition was last held in 2019 and saw Nsroma emerge as the winner. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was not held last year.
