The 22nd annual Vodafone Ghana Music Awards comes off this weekend, and as has been the case in previous years, it’s an event that you don’t want to miss out on. And this year, like last year, the awards are going to be streamed live in order to avoid the event space being crowded (a precautionary measure against the COVID-19 virus).
Naturally, you’re you’re thinking of the best value for money when it comes to a streaming package for the night of the awards. Luckily, we’ve got a few recommendations.
The Vodafone Smart Surf (Packages Starting At GHC20)
The Vodafone Smart Surf is a router that delivers high-speed internet (there’s not going to be buffering every couple of seconds, so that you lose interest in what you’re watching). The device itself is GHC399 which is definitely breaking the bank if all it’s good for is the VGMA’s. However, if you’ve been looking for an internet solution for your home, this is perfect the perfect time to make the purchase.

Vodafone’s Hour Bundles For Mobile
If you’re not ready to get a whole new device, and you’re comfortable turning on your phone’s hotspot to stream the Awards night, then Vodafone’s hour bundles are perfect for you. For just 1 cedi and 8 pesewas you can get 518 mb of data.
This plan is alright if you’re comfortable streaming the VGMA’s at 360p (which obviously isn’t the best quality, but hey, it’s watchable). If you want to see your favourite artistes and their over-the-top get-ups in HD quality though go for the 2 cedis 15 pesewas bundle gives you just a little over 2gb.
To get through the VGMA’s, you should budget to get an hour bundle three times.
