As a young Ghanaian student navigating the world of scholarship can be very tedious and often leaves you lagging behind, especially when you are unable to secure one after years of trying.
The many documents and essays required as well as the interviews conducted for the shortlisted applicants are the make or break moments in the scholarship world.
Navigating it alone without guidance from people who have been through it is difficult and one rarely ends up successfully securing the scholarship.
To correct this, Lois Damptey, a PhD candidate at the Open University, UK in Materials Engineering Department, is leveraging on her ‘Dear Young Grad’ scholarship opportunities platform to launch another initiative, the Scholarship Buddy.
Applicants who sign up to the Scholarship Buddy will be assigned mentors who will guide them in submitting a strong application to increase their chances of securing that scholarship.
This is an amazing opportunity to get great guidance from people who have experience the scholarship scene and have picked up vital learnings to share with those seeking to study abroad on scholarship.
