Nigerian youth, on Saturday, June 12, 2021, took to the streets to protest against bad governance and force the government to take stronger actions against the frequent cases of kidnapping and killing of young people in the country.

June 12 is “Democracy Day” in Nigeria. The day is set aside as a public holiday to mark the restoration of democracy to the country.

However, Nigerian youth decided to mark the day by protesting against the oppression that they are facing in their country.

They trooped the streets in their numbers with placards and banners that had on them messages that they wanted to send to their leaders.
