Young Bull, Yaw Tog is out with a new hard-hitting single “Africa” which details the everyday struggles of Ghanaians and also the economic hardships we face through the neglect of the government.
As the track’s title suggests, this offering is centered on Africa, with the young artist departing from his hard-hitting asakaa sound in favor of a piano-led production with heartfelt bars.
The visuals match the song’s somber tone and show Yaw Tog performing the song in front of an attentive audience.
In the introduction of the video, a group of kids are being educated on the rich minerals the land of Africa exhibits, however, these Natural resources fail to bring development to the people.
In a somber and passionate tone, Yaw Tog sings ” Eii Could have been me, Could have been you, Could have been me ma brother yeah, Things guh worser, Bɔ me tuo on the chest, Don’t feel no shame, You don’t feel no pressure, Filled our heart with pain and pressure.”
Yaw Tog went viral with his song ‘Sore’ which translates ‘rise’ and featured colleagues O‘Kenneth, City Boy, Reggie and Jay Bahd. The song peaked at Number 1 on the Apple Music Ghana Top 100 chart for weeks. His growth scored him a co-sign deal with Stormzy and they both partnered Kwesi Arthur to drop the remix of the song.
