KNUST SRC Lists And Celebrates Its Achievements One By One

Samuel Sesah

In just a matter of weeks, Samuel Sesah and the current group of leaders of the Student’s Representative Council at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST-SRC) will be handing over to newly elected leaders.

Taking over power when the country was in a pandemic which affected learning, Samuel and his team had to rethink and manifest a new way of student leadership.

As student leaders on campus, they had to take students welfare at heart.

This also meant they were in charge of SRC dues paid by thousands of students.

In his time as President, Samuel has led the student body to achieve a number of great things for the students.

Among them include expansion of the food bank for students, securing shuttle service for students living with disability, the sanitary towel project, passing of the health bill among others.

In celebrating their own achievement, the KNUST-SRC shared a thread highlighting their key achievements.

Before running for office, Samuel Sesah often initiated student focused projects.

He once started a campaign for student entrepreneurs to produce soaps locally on campus for use by students and the general public.

He started this initiative when he embarked on a Hand hygiene campaign as part of raising awareness on being safe during this period of the coronavirus pandemic.
