Ghanaian star girl Gyakie is making power girl moves in the music industry and she is not stopping any time soon.

She recently pulled a major win by joining Spotify’s Equal campaign that highlighted the contribution of women in the music industry.

While we haven’t had any new music from Gyakie in a while, she is still grinding.

In a matter of days, Gyakie has made two very powerful announcements for her rising music career.

The first big announcement was her collaboration with Deezer South Africa.

Gyakie collaborated with the music streaming platform to curate a playlist to celebrate Africa Day which falls on May 25.

Africa Day is an annual commemoration of the founding of the Organisation of African Unity (OAU) which is now known simply as African Union (AU) on 25 May, 1963.

It is celebrated in various countries on the African continent, as well as around the world.

This year’s theme of the Africa Day celebration is “Arts, Culture and Heritage: Levers for Building the Africa we Want.”

Gyakie’s playlist included songs from Phronesis, Efya, Kidi, Sarkodie and other.

You can check it out here.

As though that is not enough win for a week, she was also just put on the cover of YouTube Music’s Africa Month playlist called Africa’s Next Wave.

This honour puts Gyakie’s face, art and hustle front and centre in YouTube’s celebration of African music this month.

She is also following in the path of great Ghanaian musicians such as Stonebwoy and Sarkodie who have both served as cover boy for YouTube Music’s celebration of African music.

Gyakie is now the it girl for Ghanaian music…. just good music and vibes.
