M.anifest has added his voice to the rising concerns of economic hardships in Ghana. In his new single “We Dey Manage”, M.anifest details the everyday scenarios of a young Ghanaian living in the current times of poor governance, with unemployment, poor infrastructure and lack of a working system at play.
This song serves as a follow up to Manifest’s raving success single, ‘Confusion‘.
Just as he’s done over the years, M.anifest has added his voice to the growing online #FixTheCountryNow protest and calls on leaders to hear the cries of the youth and all citizens.
“We Dey Manage” joins the likes of “Someway Bi” and “Suffer” on M.anifest’s long list of songs on his discography where he’s spoken about economic hardships.
M.anifest uses the Hook of the song to detail the real life secenario in Ghana:
Zero cedis in my savings but at least (we dey manage)
I no pay the light bill but at least (we dey manage)
Job side side hard small but at least (we dey manage)
How I for do (we dey manage)
