When you start out as online business on Instagram, there are going to be challenges here and there. However, for most new business, a lot of your problems can be solved simply by reaching more people and selling more. That’s where Instagram ads come in. It takes a lot of work to grow your Instagram account and turn every new follower into a customer.
Fortunately, there are ways to increase your reach for a particular post if you don’t have the organic numbers to back it up. You can do that by sponsoring posts in the app.
Choosing The Right Type Of Ad
There are several types of sponsored ads when it comes to Instagram. There’s the normal posts that show up on people’s feeds, there’s also story ads that allow users to simply swipe to view and then there Instagram shopping ads.
When you’re overwhelmed by all the different types of ads that you can choose from, the best way to go about making a decision is by looking through your feed for the posts that have had the most engagement. Promoting the content that you’re already creating well is a good start point for getting into the sponsored ads space.
How To Advertise On Instagram
The first thing that you’re going to need to do to start using Instagram ads is to change your account from a personal account to a business or creator account. From there, there are two ways that you can promote your posts. The first is by sponsoring posts directly through the Instagram app.
If your account is already a business account, whenever you make a new post, you should see the promote button underneath. Then all you have to do is to click that button. Although this way is easier, it doesn’t offer as many customization options as the second way of sponsoring an ad which is by using the Facebook ad manager. To do that, navigate to the business settings menu then click Ad accounts. From that point, finding the Facebook ad manager should be straightforward and intuitive.
