Ghanaian Musician Daud has released his much anticipated project “Born Of The Chaos .”
His debut project title “Born Of The Chaos” was birthed out of the period spanning the creation of this body of work which was a quite “chaotic” time because we were battling a pandemic that toppled the smooth continuity of our daily routines.
Speaking about the process and the meaning for the title, Daud said, “it was also around the time when I was working on my final desertion and the uncertainties regarding the prospects of the future was plaguing me and around the same time I lost certain relationships which I felt were valuable to me. So it was quite a chaotic time for me. But from this same chaos was birthed my niece who is the baby on the cover art and this beautiful project as well. That’s where the connection between the cover art and the title of the project is bridged.”
The project has 7 songs in all which is the conventionally accepted limit for a number of tracks on an EP(extended play).
The project opens with ‘Early Bird'( Agro) which speaks basically on how the early bird catches the worm. Then followed by ‘Grind’ featuring J Tunez who also doubles as the producer of that song. Grind talks about being proactive if you want to succeed at anything in life. As is said in the song “We dey Grind for the kwacha.”
The third song is “Different” which is more of a self-gratifying song where I stress how different my “vibe” is from the regular “lol”. Then Tonight which is basically a song about nightlife. The fifth song is “My Girl” where Daud professes his love and affection for a girl. Followed by “Wo da Makoma so” which is a song further expressing his love for a girl.
The last song “Peace Of Mind” features Daud talking about how above everything else he seeks, Peace of Mind is paramount. My expectation is for this project to serve as a résumé to my musical prowess as well as shatter glass ceilings and open doors which were formerly closed.
Daud on this project worked with three producers namely J_tunezgh, Siemaa, and Iyke Parker. Mawuse Vuvor Of BigMouth studios was the executive producer of this project. And Sonny Obodai designed the cover art.
