The Kumasi drill scene is alive and kicking. If for anything at all the latest release by Yaw Tog sends a strong message that the scene is thriving and growing strong.
BET International Featured Artiste released his latest single yesterday.
Since the song went online, Yaw Tog has been receiving major publicity from international media in a way that few Ghanaian musicians are able to command when they release a new single.
First, his international distribution partner EMPIRE, posted the song with a link to the official YouTube video which has a little over 110K views.
Hours later, the UK media platforms formed a chain of support for the song starting with Link Up TV.
Mixtape Madness, also based in the UK, joined the chain of support.
GRM Daily also gave the song a shout out.
Since Yaw Tog trended and gain the stamp of approval from Virgil Abloh and Stormzy, he has become a darling of the foreign press who have now gained the taste of highlighting African talents.

Born Thorsten Owusu Gyimah, Yaw Tog is best known for his viral song ‘Sore’. When he did a remix of the song, he recruited Kwesi Arthur and Stormzy to spit fresh bars on the song.
