Ghanaian dancehall musician, Shatta Wale has used social media to push his career.
It is through social media that he was able to mobilize one of the most vibrant fan bases in the Ghanaian music scene.
It is this same social media that he has used to pick beefs with other musicians – Stonebwoy, Sarkodie, Samini and others.
Last Wednesday, he announced that he will be going off social media from April 26.
He said, the decision was due to “my own reasons.”
In honour of Shatta Wale leaving social media, we took a look at 10 times he ruled social media and everyone talked about him – good or bad.
The One On VGMA Night
The Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy’s beef has been going on for years and it finally blew up in real life at the 2019 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards. Shatta Wale mounted the stage of the 2019 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards with his entourage when Stonebwoy was also on the stage accepting an award.
This act by Shatta Wale brought about a scuffle between the two camps, thus interrupting the award ceremony.
Pandemonium broke out shortly after Stonebwoy was announced the winner of ‘Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year’. It was the fifth consecutive time he is winning the award. The two were banned by the award scheme.
The One With The Blowjob
In June 2018, Shatta Wale broke the internet again with a shocking video he had mistakenly posted on Snapchat. In the video, a girl was seen giving him and a friend a blow job.
Shatta Wale, minutes after realising his error deleted it but it had already been captured by the internet.

2018 was a busy nude year for Shatta Wale.
At a show in Dusseldorf, Germany in 2018, Shatta Wale, in the course of his performance pulled down his trousers and showed his buttocks to the audience.
Many people said this act was in fulfilment in a ‘prophecy’ Sarkodie made in his ‘Advice’ song to Shatta Wale – that Shatta Wale would one day show his genitals to the public.

When Barack Obama, the former President of the United States of America, shared an interesting list of songs that he has been listening to during this summer 2020, Shatta Wale was in there.
