Sometimes you have ideas of things that you want to accomplish during the vacation before you’re out of school. However, vacation comes and you’re working at an internship and every single day you’re too stressed to do the blogging you wanted to, the reading you wanted to or even go out with friends. These are some tips to help you stay motivated even after work.

Make Plans Beforehand

You need to do this if you’re planning to go somewhere after work. When you have every last detail planned before the actual time that you have to go out you’re less likely to cancel. Most of the time when we cancel on plans it’s because even decisions like what to wear cause fatigue.

Stay Outside

Once you get home and get in your comfort zone, it’s going to be hard to get back out of it and find the energy to work on those personal projects. A good idea is to stay out. You can find a place like Second Cup, where you can sit and work freely with just a small purchase.

Go To The Gym. Don’t Go Home

If you’re trying to get into working out, then going home after work is the worst idea for you. When you go home, finding the motivation to change into gym clothes to actually go out and exhaust yourself some more is going to be near impossible. Find a gym close to your workplace instead. From the office, you can go to the gym and get your workout in before you even head home.

Take Small Steps

Building a new habit is not always the easiest thing. In fact, it hardly ever is. If you’re having a hard time maintaining a habit at first, try not to be too hard on yourself. Instead, set small goals that you easily achieve (even if they seem a bit easy). The more that you stick to those small goals the more likely you’ll be able to follow through on the big ones when you’re ready.
