American rapper Cardi B has reacted to the jail sentence of Akuapem Poloo.
Akuapem Poloo, born Rosemond Brown, was handed a 90 days (three months) jail sentence by the Accra Circuit court, on Friday, April 16, 2021.
She was convicted on the charges of publication of obscene material and domestic violence, for posting a nude photo of herself and her seven-year-old son on his birthday on June 30, 2020.
Reacting to Akuapem Poloo’s jail sentence, Cardi B described it as a harsh punishment. She further stated that a social media probation or community service could have been a much better punishment for Akuapem Poloo.
“I [have] seen a lot of Americans do photoshoots like that. Even tho is not my style I don’t think she was going for sexual more going the natural idea. I think jail is a bit harsh. Maybe social media probation or community service,” Cardi B said in response to a question asked by Afromusik on Twitter.
