It’s another week to update your playlist and music library with the best of Ghanaian music. Week in and week out we see a lot of songs dropping and if care is not taken you might miss the best songs. Last week saw a lot of artists dropping hot freestyles and songs that were definitely club bangers.
We made things easier for you, instead of sorting out nearly everything that was released last week, we’ve narrowed it down to strictly the best of the week, saving you plenty of time.

Kwame Yesu feat. Black Sherif, Kimilist – Anadwo
ReBo Tribe’s very own Kwame Yesu teams up with Black Sherif & Kimilist for yet another crazy hip-hop/drill song titled ANADWO, an inspirational bop that starts off right with witty but clever bars from Kwame Yesu motivating the youth to go hard on their grind till the dream works.
Black Sheriff delivers a catchy hook with melodic raps that gets listeners in the groove; with another hard rap verse from Mimlife’s rap sensation Kimilist
Camidoh feat. Eugy Official- Available
Camidoh has finally released the much-awaited song titled “Available.” Available by Camidoh features Eugy and was produced by LayKayBeatz.
Opanka – Cheley
After releasing his Elevation EP in January, Opanka officially released this Drill single entitled Cheley. Its a term used in card game, which means, deceiving your opponent with a smaller card whilst having a bigger one. Opanka metaphorically uses this term in a life situation to caution people to always analyze situations before making a move.
Kwesi Arthur – Warming Up Freestyle
As we still anticipate new music and the coming of the ‘Son Of Jacob‘ album, award-winning Ghanaian rapper Kwesi Arthur sets the tone right for his forthcoming projects with this freestyle he titles ‘Warming Up‘. Putting a spin on Lil Baby’s 2020 track “Emotionally Scarred”, Kwesi raps with a bold confidence on this joint which is evident on lines such as “Move like I be JAY-Z” and “Every single day my price going up”.
Wendy Shay- Nobody
Wendy Shay returns from hiatus with a new release. Following the release of her collaborative effort with the late Ebony Reigns titled John 8:7, Wendy Shay unlocks an Afropop record titled ‘Nobody’ to announce her return to the music scene. Wendy Shay slams critics and overpowering nemesis in this MOG produced song.
Pure Akan – Mobetie
After close to four years of dropping his debut album, Pure Akan in his latest new single “Mobɛtie” has announced his Sophomore Album is ready.
Pure Akan’s Onipa Akoma album has been called one of the best albums in Ghana since its release in 2017 and has even been named the “best selling album” on the aftown music streaming platform.
Fans have waited long to know when his next album will be out and he answers all their questions on “Mobɛtie”.
Mobɛtie which translates from the Akan language (local dialect of the Akan people) as “You Will listen” is the Pure Akan latest hit. Clocking at over 2 mins, the song gives fans a foretaste of what to expect in his upcoming Album.
Smallgod feat. R2bees – Simple Instruction
Smallgod shows his reach by digging into his rolodex and recruiting the legendary R2bees for his new single ‘Simple Instruction’. The song which serves as the second single off his highly anticipated album Building Bridges, is a blend of classic coastal Jazz Highlife and Afrobeats. Production duties are handled by the almighty Streetbeatz, whose genius mesh of horns and percussions create a groove that is guaranteed to move your feet.
Blaqbonez feat. Amaarae, Buju– Bling
Nigerian Rapper, Blaqbonez comes through with a brand new single titled “Bling.”
Assisted by Amaarae and Spaceship entertainment’s Buju, Bling is an exciting single that serves as his second release of 2021 as we anticipate his “Sex > Love” album.
