Ghanaian Streetwear Brand FreeTheYouth has announced their Pop Up shop which is scheduled to take place this weekend on the 16th to 18th of April at the Area Bar, Osu.
“The FREE THE YOUTH pop-up was originally scheduled for Ghana Independence weekend in March, however was canceled due to the untimely passing of our brother Shace. But SHACE IS FOREVER and we are dedicated to his legacy through FREE THE YOUTH! He gave FTY his all and we remain strong with him as our angel,” the brand announced on Instagram.
“We send a BIG THANK YOU to all our supporters for all the love that has been shown to us during this difficult time. We are truly humbled and grateful. We also want to say thank you to all who donated to the gofundme. While we did not raise the initial goal, we are so grateful that the funds raised covered funeral costs and provided support for his family,” the Streetwear brand added.
Free the Youth was founded as a collective of creative minds determined to empower the youth of Africa, to penetrate the art and fashion scene around the globe.
The brand is supported and endorsed by local Ghanaian artists, who have helped take the brand mainstream.
Free the Youth is shaping the look of youth culture on the continent and beyond with thought-provoking graphic print T-shirts, sweaters and denim.
