Dumsor: Ghanaians Put A Hilarious Twist On History Repeating Itself

Yesterday by this time, various parts of Accra were in black out.

The power went off just after midday and parts of Accra got thier light back after 9pm.

For others, it came the following day.

In a statement, GRIDCo blamed the power outage on a fault.

“The power system experienced a fault on the Aboadze-Anwomaso transmission line,” it said.

However, this is not an isolated incident. There have been rampant power outages recently leaving many to believe that Dumsor is back.

There was even an earlier statement indicating that a load shedding time table will be published. This load shedding, according to authorities, was necessitated by maintenance work.

As Ghana works to make itself a preferred destination for international business on the continent, getting a grip over the power situation has become an essential government task.

Especially now that Twitter is basing its Africa operations here in Ghana, it may serve as a catalyst for other foreign companies to set up shop in the country.

When they do, power outages isn’t something we want them to get used to.
