Packing for the university for the very first time can be a bit daunting, so we’re going to try and lighten your load with this gadget packing list. These are all the essential electronics that we know you’re going to regret making it to campus without.

Noise Cancelling Headphones

Unless you’re really rich and getting a one-in-a-room for your first year, you’ll want to pack some noise cancelling headphones. It’s the only way that you’re going to be able to enjoy a movie without interruptions. It also provides a very necessary escape in those times when your roommate has someone of the opposite sex over.

An External Drive

If you’re an introvert, then your external drive is going to be your best friend. You’re going to find so many people with shows that you would be into on campus, and if you don’t have an external to collect them, then you slack.

An HDMI Cable

Nothing can quite match the vibe of watching a movie with your roommates at night in your room. You’re going to need a cable that connects from your laptop to your TV to make that happen.

A Spare Phone Charger

When you’re packing for school, you should get a spare charger if you can. Chargers are one of the most borrowed items on campus. And we all know what happens when a charger is overused; you start having to balance your phone in weird ways.

A Rice Cooker

Finally on our list, we have the ever-essential gadget MVP, the rice-cooker. When you’re broke and can barely afford to buy a meal (and on campus that’s going to happen), having a rice cooker can take the burden of thinking about your next meal away.
