Last Friday, various species of fishes washed up on some of the beaches along the coast of the country.
Dolphins and other species of fish were found on the beaches of Osu, Axim, and Keta.
There have been fears that the washed-up would end up on the market for unsuspecting Ghanaians to purchase.
In a statement from the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA), the authority it had dispatched its officials to ensure that the fish does not end up on the local Ghanaian market.
It also said it is carrying out laboratory testing to determine the causing of the fishes washing-ashore.
