Award-winning rapper and VGMA 22 Artiste of the Year nominee, Sarkodie is using his massive social media platform for an act of heroism.
The rapper has joined an army of social media users who are crowdfunding to help a 13-year-old Ghanaian to raise money to pay for his medical bills.
Sarkodie, who is also called Michael, is asking his fans to help save Michael Kofi Asiamah’s life.
Little Michael has been diagnosed with a brain tumour and his family needs $30,000 which is a little more than GHS 172K to pay for his medical treatment.
Thanks to Sarkodie and many others, a Go Fund Me campaign created to raise funds for Michael has raised just over $26k of the $30K target.
Just less than $4k is needed for Michael to have the money he requires to pay for his treatment.
There are alternatives to make either bank deposits or pay into Mobile Money accounts.
Michael describes himself as a songwriter who enjoys writing Christian rap.
As a Sarkodie fan, his friends have nicknamed him after the musician. Apparently, he can rap all of Sarkodie’s songs.
