#WomenAdMore: Echo House Ghana Ltd. Leads Campaign To Bring More Women Into Advertising

With over 60% of its workforce being women, Echo House Ghana Limited is leading the #WomenAdMore campaign to encourage other agencies in Advertising and Marketing to employ more women in order to reap the unique benefits that Echo House has proven women bring to their space.

Labor force, female (% of total labor force) in Ghana was reported at 46.44 % in 2020, according to the World Bank collection of development indicators, compiled from officially recognized sources.

Leading the campaign is the CEO Of Echo House Ghana Limited, Mrs. Beryl Agyekum Ayaaba who in 2019, was named as part of the Top 50 Young CEOs in Ghana by the YCEO & Avance Media. She was nominated and awarded the 2020 Female category of the Young Achiever’s Award at the 5th EMY Africa Awards. In 2021 Mrs. Beryl Agyekum Ayaaba was named in 3Music Awards’ list of top 30 most influential women who have made a difference in the music industry.

For International Women’s Day this year, we are saying “hey, step up!” We are calling on everyone, every agency, every bank, and business just down the road from American House and beyond, to own the prestige of being woman-forward.

Speaking further on the relevance of the campaign, Beryl Agyekum Ayaaba said one of the goals of the campaign is to celebrate the strides the Echohouse Agency has made to provide opportunities for more women to showcase their diverse talents in the advertising industry.
“We believe it is such an important message because we know there are a lot of untapped talents out there who just aren’t discovered due to lack of opportunities. So with the campaign, we are celebrating the exceptional women we have in-house as well as throwing a challenge to every other company to step up to the task and open the doors for more women to come in and show off their skills,” she said.
