COVID-19 has been unpredictable since we discovered it. And now, we have vaccines, so there are questions that are going to come up here and there. One of those questions is how does alcohol interact with the vaccine shot that we’re getting?
There’s No Evidence That Drinking Has Any Effect On The Vaccine’s Functioning
According to the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency, the body that approved both the AstraZeneca/Oxford vaccine and the Pfizer/Moderna vaccine for use in the UK, “there is currently no evidence that drinking alcohol interferes with the efficacy of the Covid-19 vaccines.”
There isn’t any reason to believe that the vaccine is hampered by alcohol intake. So that’s one less thing to worry about if you’ve not yet taken the vaccine.
