Apam: Ghanaians Mourn As 14 Bodies Of The 20 Believed To Have Drowned Have Been Retrieved

The process of recovering the bodies is ongoing

Parents in Apam in the Central Region are mourning the tragic passing of their children.

Twenty young people who were at the Apam beach swimming were believed to have drowned.

When the news broke, parents, people who were close to the beach and the police rushed to the scene to help rescue them.

However, the rescue mission turned into a recovery effort to retrieve the bodies from the sea.

As at the time of filing this report, 14 bodies have been retrieved from the sea.

People have been mourning and sharing heart felt condolences to the families who are currently either identifying the bodies of their loved ones or are hoping the recovery team retrieves the body of their loved ones from the sea.

Some have also brought back the painful reminder of the 20 school children who died in Kantampo in March 2017.
