Ghanaians React To Meghan Markle And Prince Harry’s Tell-All Interview With Oprah Winfrey

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle

At 8pm last Sunday night, American TV channel CBS aired a 2-hour tell-all interview conducted by the media mogul, Oprah Winfrey.

Her guests were The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

This interview came one year after they announced that they would be stepping back from being senior royals of the British Royal family.

That came after what the couple said was years of abuse from the “toxic British media” and some members of the monarchy.

From yesterday’s interview, the two did not only make shocking revelations but also clarified some of the damaging stories written about them.

For instance, Meghan said it was Kate, the wife of Prince William, who made her cry leading to her wedding. However, when the story was leaked to the press, it was claimed that it was Meghan who made Kate cry.

They also revealed that high ranking members of the family were asking about what Archie’s skin would be. Archie is Harry and Meghan’s son.

Meghan also revealed that at some point she was suicidal and she was turned down after asking for help from senior officials in the monarchy.

As the interview was airing, Ghanaians who were watching and following the discourse on social media were also reacting.

Meghan and Harry have faced years of abuse and they have finally used their voice to stand up for themselves.
