Management members and senior staff of the University of Ghana, Legon have taken the first of two shots of the COVID-19 vaccine.
This is part of the beginning stages of a national inoculation exercise.
The Vice-Chancellor of Legon, Prof Ebenezer Oduro took the vaccine yesterday at the University of Ghana Hospital.
Prof Nana Aba Appiah Amfo, who is currently the Pro Vice-Chancellor in charge of Academic and Student Affairs also took the vaccine at the hospital.
With just 600,000 vaccines currently available, a selected group of people have been chosen to receive the vaccine.
This includes frontline health care workers, teachers, security service officers, people living with underlying health conditions among others.
