At the event, students will be ushered into the clinical part of the medicine and dentistry programmes.

The White Coat Ceremony is regarded as a very important milestone in the training of medical and dental students.

The Ceremony is considered a rite of passage for medical and dental students who have completed the preclinical sciences and are about to begin the clinical phase of their training. It is a relatively new ritual in some medical, dental and other health training schools.
