Ghanaians have expressed shock at the conduct of Members of Parliament as the country is experiencing a surge in COVID-19 cases.

Pictures of some MPs dancing after an orientation and induction workshop at Aqua Safari in Ada have surfaced online.

This has, however, raised concerns among some Ghanaians on social media who have condemnd the actions of the MPs.

Although the MPs are seen in pictures wearing mask as they danced, some Ghanaians are of the view that they were “irresponsible” to engage in such an activity during a pandemic.

According to those who commented on the issue, the MPs are supposed to lead by example as the country combats COVID-19.

They also indicated that it is unfair for other citizens to be arrested for failing to observe COVID-19 protocols while MPs are left to go unpunished for committing similar offences.

This act by the MPs comes almost a week after the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, revealed that 15 Members of Parliament have tested positive for COVID-19.

Here some reactions from Ghanaians:
